Gym HQ Limited – General Safety Release & Liability Waiver

This agreement applies to all members and visitors using Gym HQ Limited, Tenbury Wells.

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in physical exercise, use of gym equipment, and training activities at Gym HQ Limited involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:

  • Muscle strains and tears

  • Sprains, fractures, or other injuries

  • Cardiac or respiratory complications

  • Slips, trips, and falls

I voluntarily choose to participate and accept full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages that may occur.

2. Health Declaration

I confirm that:

  • I am physically fit and able to take part in physical activity

  • I have completed a PAR-Q / health questionnaire honestly and accurately

  • I will seek medical advice before exercising if I have any medical condition, injury, or concern

  • I will stop exercising immediately if I feel pain, dizziness, or discomfort

3. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, I agree to release, waive, and discharge Gym HQ Limited, its directors, owners, employees, contractors, and representatives from any liability for:

  • Injury, illness, or death

  • Loss or damage to personal property

Except where such liability arises from negligence that cannot legally be excluded under UK law.

4. Use of Equipment & Facilities

I agree to:

  • Use all equipment correctly and responsibly

  • Follow gym rules, signage, and any staff guidance

  • Not use equipment that appears damaged or unsafe

  • Clean equipment after use

I understand that misuse of equipment may result in injury and/or termination of membership.

5. 24/7 Access & Unstaffed Hours

I acknowledge that Gym HQ Limited operates 24 hours a day, including unstaffed periods, and I accept full responsibility for my actions during these times.

6. CCTV Acknowledgement

I understand and accept that CCTV is in operation throughout Gym HQ Limited for the purposes of safety, security, and crime prevention.
Footage is stored securely and managed in accordance with UK GDPR and data protection laws.

7. Personal Belongings

I understand that Gym HQ Limited is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings brought onto the premises.

8. Agreement & Acceptance

I confirm that:

  • I have read and understood this Safety Release & Liability Waiver

  • I agree to be bound by its terms

  • I understand this waiver remains in effect for the duration of my membership with Gym HQ Limited
