Gym HQ – Terms & Conditions of Membership

By joining and using Gym HQ, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Membership Eligibility

  • Membership is open to individuals aged 16 years and over.

  • Members aged 12-15 must have parental/guardian consent.

  • Membership is non-transferable.

2. Access & Opening Hours

  • Gym HQ operates 24/7, subject to maintenance or unforeseen closures.

  • Members must not allow non-members to access the gym (“tailgating”).

  • Lost or shared access credentials may result in suspension.

3. Health & Safety

  • Members use the facilities at their own risk.

  • You must complete a PAR-Q / health declaration before using the gym.

  • If you have a medical condition or injury, you should seek medical advice before exercising.

  • Gym HQ is not responsible for injury caused by misuse of equipment or failure to follow guidance.

4. Use of Equipment

  • Equipment must be used correctly and returned after use.

  • Appropriate gym clothing and footwear must be worn at all times.

  • Report faulty equipment immediately and do not use it.

5. Conduct

  • Respect other members and staff at all times.

  • Aggressive, abusive, or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated.

  • Drug use, alcohol consumption, or training while intoxicated is strictly prohibited.

Gym HQ reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for breaches of conduct without refund.

6. Personal Belongings

  • Members are responsible for their own belongings.

  • Gym HQ accepts no liability for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

7. Payments & Membership Fees

  • Membership fees must be paid in advance.

  • No refunds are given for unused time or early cancellation unless required by law.

  • Gym HQ reserves the right to amend membership fees with reasonable notice.

8. CCTV

  • CCTV is in operation throughout Gym HQ for the purposes of safety, security, and crime prevention.

  • Footage is recorded and stored securely in line with UK GDPR.

  • CCTV footage will only be accessed when necessary and may be shared with authorities if legally required.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

  • Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK GDPR.

  • Data is used solely for membership management, safety, and legal obligations.

10. Liability

  • Gym HQ is not liable for injury, illness, or death except where caused by negligence.

  • Members accept full responsibility for ensuring they are physically fit to train.

11. Changes to Terms & Conditions

  • Gym HQ may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

  • The latest version will be displayed in the gym or available on request.

12. Acceptance

By using Gym HQ facilities, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
